Introduction

EspressoRadar (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates espressoradar.com, an independent review site focused on home espresso equipment. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

We keep data collection to a minimum. EspressoRadar has no account system, no user registration, and does not sell personal information to anyone.

Information We Collect

We collect a limited amount of information through two channels:

  • Analytics data. We use analytics software to understand how visitors use the site. This may include your approximate location (city and country), browser type, device type, pages visited, time on page, and the source that referred you. This data is aggregated and is not linked to your name or email address.
  • Contact messages. If you email us at hello@espressoradar.com, we receive your email address and the contents of your message. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry.

We do not collect payment information, create user accounts, or build individual profiles of visitors.

Cookies and Tracking

EspressoRadar uses cookies in two contexts:

  • Analytics cookies.Our analytics provider may set cookies to recognize returning visitors and measure usage patterns. You can limit or block these through your browser’s cookie settings or a browser extension that blocks tracking scripts.
  • Affiliate cookies.When you click a product link to Amazon or another merchant, that merchant may set its own cookies on your device. These cookies are controlled by the merchant, not by us. They allow the merchant to attribute a purchase to our referral and pay us a commission. Amazon’s cookie practices are governed by Amazon’s Privacy Notice.

Affiliate Disclosure

EspressoRadar participates in affiliate programs including Amazon Associates. When you purchase a product through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services, each with its own privacy practices:

  • Amazon Associates. We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. Amazon may set cookies when you click our product links.
  • Analytics provider. We may use Google Analytics or a similar service to analyze site traffic. Google Analytics users can opt out via Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
  • Vercel. Our site is hosted on Vercel, which processes standard server logs (including IP addresses) as part of its hosting infrastructure.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Understand which content is useful to readers and improve the site
  • Respond to messages sent to our contact email
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your Rights

  • California residents (CCPA). We do not sell personal information. California residents may request disclosure of what personal information we collect and request its deletion.
  • EU/UK residents (GDPR). You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict processing of your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to our analytics provider’s default settings (typically 14 months for Google Analytics). Emails sent to our contact address are retained only as long as needed to address your inquiry, and generally no longer than two years.

Children’s Privacy

EspressoRadar is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@espressoradar.com and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted here. Your continued use of EspressoRadar after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
